INTERFOOD ASTANA 2026 OPENS IN ASTANA — AN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE FOOD INDUSTRY AND INDUSTRIAL COOPERATION
TODAY, ON MAY 13, THE 26TH KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION “FOODSTUFFS, DRINKS, INGREDIENTS, PACKAGING AND EQUIPMENT FOR FOOD INDUSTRY” — INTERFOOD ASTANA 2026 — OFFICIALLY OPENED IN ASTANA, BRINGING TOGETHER FOOD MANUFACTURERS, EQUIPMENT SUPPLIERS, REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PROCESSING INDUSTRY, DISTRIBUTORS, AND INDUSTRY EXPERTS FROM KAZAKHSTAN AND ABROAD.

The exhibition runs from May 13 to 15 and serves as an effective professional platform for the development of international cooperation, the presentation of modern technological solutions, and the discussion of current issues in the food industry.

This year, 61 companies from 14 countries — Austria, Belarus, Vietnam, Germany, Georgia, Kazakhstan, China, Malaysia, the UAE, Poland, Russia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine — are participating in the exhibition. The Republic of Belarus presents the national exposition, while collective regional stands from the Russian Federation — Voronezh, Orenburg, and Smolensk regions — are also organized within the framework of the exhibition. Of the total number of participants, 26 companies represent Kazakhstan, while 35 exhibitors are international participants, demonstrating the strong international interest in the Kazakh market and the potential of the region’s food industry.

One of the distinctive features of InterFood Astana 2026 is the significant number of companies participating in the exhibition for the first time. Among the most notable debutants are ANDRITZ AG from Austria, AF Compressors Middle East FZE from the UAE, Aicon X-Ray GmbH from Germany, Navruz International Corp from Uzbekistan, Pacific Fish Processing Co., Ltd. from Thailand, Power Root from Malaysia, RichHot Spices from China, TAREEQ AL-KAWTHE from Poland, Belaseptika from Belarus, Imperial Corporation from Russia, and several other international manufacturers and suppliers presenting innovative developments, ingredients, packaging solutions, and equipment for food industry enterprises.
The key event of the first day was the business program of the MEAT & DAIRY INDUSTRY FORUM held under the general theme “Industrialization of Kazakhstan’s Meat and Dairy Industry: Investments, Technologies, Markets”. As part of the forum, the strategic plenary session “The Future of Kazakhstan’s Meat Industry: Strategy, Investments and Sales Markets” brought together representatives of specialized industry associations, businesses, and industry experts to discuss the prospects for the development of the meat processing industry, attracting investments, modernizing production facilities, and expanding the export potential of domestic products. The session featured: Maksut Baktibayev — General Director of the Meat Union of Kazakhstan; Zhumatai Urazbaev — Doctor of Technical Sciences, Chairman of the Board of the Kazakh Research Institute of Processing and Food Industry under the National Agrarian Scientific and Educational Center; Madiyar Alimzhanov — Deputy Head of the Market Research and Analytics Scientific Center under QazTrade; Yuri Pchelko — Adviser to the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Kazakhstan; Svetlana Nazaryuk — Director of the Astana Regional Branch of the DAMU Entrepreneurship Development Fund. In their speeches, the speakers emphasized the importance of implementing modern processing technologies, strengthening cooperation between producers and processing enterprises, and developing export-oriented production as key factors for the sustainable growth of Kazakhstan’s meat industry.
The first day’s business program continued with the practical panel session “From Farm to Export: Meat Supply, Logistics and Market Requirements”, during which participants discussed mechanisms for improving logistics chains, implementing international quality standards, and increasing the efficiency of interaction between agricultural producers, processors, and export-oriented enterprises. Particular attention was paid to ensuring supply stability, expanding export geography, and adapting domestic products to the requirements of foreign markets.
In addition to the extensive business program, InterFood Astana 2026 provides participants with broad opportunities for meetings and negotiations with potential partners and for identifying new sales channels. The exhibition covers a wide range of sectors — from food and beverages to equipment for processing, packaging, storage, and logistics.
Tomorrow, on May 14, the forum program will continue with the panel session “Raw Milk Quality and the Economics of Kazakhstan’s Dairy Industry: From Raw Material Base and Modernization to Competitiveness and Export”, dedicated to the development of dairy production, modernization of enterprises, improvement of raw material quality, and strengthening the export potential of Kazakhstan’s dairy products.
Already on the first day, the InterFood Astana 2026 exhibition venue became a center for intensive B2B negotiations, professional dialogue, and the presentation of advanced industry solutions contributing to the further development of Kazakhstan’s food and processing industries.
According to the organizers, the exhibition continues to strengthen its status as one of the key industry events in the region, promoting international dialogue, the implementation of innovations, and the expansion of business relations among food market participants.
